Montasio DOP

Montasio is a cheese, semi-hard, made exclusively from cow's milk produced in the area between Veneto and  Friuli Venezia Giulia. The organoleptic characteristics of Montasio are different depending on age. In fact eaten fresh, it tastes soft and delicate that remembers the milk from which it is produced; Mature, the flavors are more determined with specific characterizations of fullness; well reasoned, assumes perfume particularly aromatic not too spicy suitable for consumers who prefer strong flavour. Montasio features characteristic holes which happens to be homogeneous across the section, small size, regular and shiny inside
